From 3rd to 9th May 2015 all partner schools of our Comenius project
“Working with Dr EUOz” met in a very sunny and warm city of
For us students from 9th grade and the students from grade 10 it
was the final school trip!
After the 16 hours bus ride we arrived tired but happy in Zadar. We
met the students of the partner schools at the University restaurant for
dinner after a short and relaxing break.
On the second day the headmaster, teachers and students of the Croatian
Medical School gave us a hearty “Welcome” at their school building.
Then we had some nice Croatian snacks and afterwards the school was
showed to us. We were very impressed by the respect the Croatian
students went along with their teachers and with each other.
The students of our school were very interested in the school equipment
e.g. bones, skulls, teeth made of clay, DNA models etc. and we had a lot
We also visited a primary school in the neighbourhood where we were
welcomed with a wonderful programme in German. That was very
impressive!!! In the evening we met again to have dinner and to have a
great disco together.
On Wednesday we had the project presentation in the City Lodge. We
also presented project products and results. All countries and schools
were introduced, too.
The inhabitants of Zadar were invited to the presentation and students
from the Medical School took blood pressure and did a Blood Sugar Test.
On Thursday we went on a boat trip to the Cornati Islands.
We saw the wonderful seashore and amazing cliffs and also watched
dolphins and seagulls.
For a short stop on the Salt Lake Island we could go for a swim and
discovered crabs and little hermit crabs. That was really cool!!!
On Friday we had time to visit the Naval School where students and
the headmaster explained a lot about sailing, shipping and navigation.
Later we could do a bit more sightseeing, eating ice-cream and
buying some souvenirs.
At 4 p.m. we had to say “Goodbye” and the bus took us home again.
We liked our stay in Zadar very much and want to thank the Croatian
partner school for a very good preparation!
